About Us

Yorkbuilt was originally founded and incorporated as D&M Contracting Ltd. in 2007 by Darren and Michelle York. It was then rebranded to Yorkbuilt Projects Ltd. in 2019.  At its inception, the company was primarily run by Darren who managed projects for a select group of developers. 

It continues to grow in both number of employees and scale of projects. Yorkbuilt's strengths are derived from the founder's vast experience of both commercial and residential building projects as well as over 30 years' experience as a journeyman carpenter, foreman and superintendent for one of Vancouver's largest construction companies. 

Darren's extensive knowledge of the municipal development process provides a comprehensive understanding of the developer/builder relationship to streamline the entire process from inception to hand over.
